Biblical Roots Educator & Author

Early Life and Spiritual Journey

Dr. Dinah Dye was raised in a vibrant Jewish community in Ottawa, Canada, where Torah was central, the Sabbath was sacred, and Hebrew school laid the foundation for her identity. Summers at an Orthodox Jewish camp immersed her in tradition and the richness of her heritage. However, as a young adult in the 1960s and ’70s, Dinah’s path took an unexpected turn. She explored the New Age movement and the counterculture, searching for something deeper—something true.

Her conclusion? The truth would be universal, grounded in love, and simple enough to reach anyone willing to listen.

This earnest search ultimately led Dinah to a surprising destination: faith in Yeshua (Jesus), the long-awaited Messiah of Israel. In 1979, she embraced Yeshua and immediately recognized the importance of connecting the Gospels and Epistles back to their foundation in the Hebrew Scriptures. This turning point sparked a lifelong passion for uncovering the Hebraic roots of biblical faith and showing how the Old and New Testaments form one continuous story.

History

Early Life and Spiritual Journey

Dr. Dye’s journey of faith equipped her with a unique blend of traditional Jewish upbringing and Christian insight. She earned degrees in education and business, and eventually a Doctorate in Hebraic Studies in Christianity, formalizing her pursuit of the Bible’s original context. Over the years, she has served in various leadership roles within the Christian community, including positions with the Assemblies of God and Foursquare International. Notably, she directed a Foursquare Bible Institute, helping train others in biblical studies.

With her combined academic knowledge and practical ministry experience, Dr. Dye has taught and mentored believers across the globe. Her teachings have aired internationally – from Israel and South Korea to communities throughout the United States – bringing clarity to a sometimes fragmented faith. Those who learn from her appreciate how she bridges cultural gaps and makes ancient concepts relevant today.

An Accessible and Inspiring Teacher

Dr. Dye is not a traditional seminary professor, and she wears that distinction as a badge of honor. One summary describes her as

“a Bible teacher and author best known for her Temple Revealed series, which explores connections between the ancient biblical Temple and themes in the Torah, Gospels, and broader biblical narrative.”

It notes that “her work focuses heavily on the Hebrew roots of Christian faith, Second Temple context, biblical symbolism, and temple theology… [yet] her approach is accessible and designed for readers looking to go beyond surface-level interpretation.” In fact, “while not a peer-reviewed academic, her work is fruitful and stimulating—especially for readers seeking to synthesize biblical theology with ancient context.” This accurately captures Dinah’s heart: she strives to take profound truths and present them in clear, conversational ways so that anyone can grasp and apply them.

Students often remark that Dr. Dye’s teachings illuminate the Bible in a refreshingly holistic way. By emphasizing themes like covenant, kingdom, and sacred space, she helps believers see the “big picture” of Scripture. Her style is warm and engaging – more like a fellow traveler sharing discoveries than a lecturer. It’s this combination of theological depth and approachable delivery that has drawn a wide audience, from laypeople to pastors, all eager to reconnect with the ancient foundations of their faith.

Personal Life and Vision

Beyond her public work, Dinah is a wife, mother, and grandmother. She and her husband Michael live in the high desert outside Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they enjoy breathtaking skies and quiet moments with their grandchildren. Life in New Mexico’s landscape often reminds Dinah of the biblical stories set in the deserts of the Near East, bringing even more depth to her understanding of Scripture’s backdrop.

Dr. Dinah Dye’s vision is clear:

“to help readers rediscover the Bible as an interconnected, temple-shaped story – one rooted in history, revealed through covenant, and pointing toward the restoration of heaven and earth.”

She firmly believes that by rediscovering the biblical roots of our faith, Christians can find greater unity, clarity, and purpose. Her unique background – from Conservative Judaism to embracing Yeshua – positions her as a bridge between Israel’s story and the Church’s story, and she’s dedicated her life to building that bridge for others.

A Temple-Centered Teaching Approach

While Dr. Dye has deep knowledge in many areas of biblical study, her true passion is the Temple – the sacred space where God’s presence dwells. She often explains that the Temple is far more than an ancient building; it’s

“the cosmic blueprint of creation, the organizing center of the biblical story, and the key to reuniting a fractured Church”.

In other words, understanding the Temple’s symbolism and function can help heal divisions and bring believers together in unity.

This Temple-centered approach infuses all of Dinah’s work. For over four decades, she has studied the Bible through its original ancient Near Eastern lens, viewing Scripture as a connected narrative rather than a disjointed text. Her research suggests that the Temple theme is the framework of the entire Bible, an important key to integrating the Torah with the Gospels and Epistles. By teaching the “interconnected, temple-shaped story” of Scripture, Dr. Dye helps students see how each part of the Bible—from Genesis to Revelation—fits into God’s redemptive plan to restore heaven and earth.

The Temple Revealed Series and Ministry

Dinah Dye is perhaps best known as the author of the Temple Revealed trilogy. These books – The Temple Revealed in Creation, …in the Garden, and …in Noah’s Ark – each explore a different biblical era through the theme of the Temple. The series has been widely acclaimed, becoming a long-standing bestseller in the Messianic Judaism category on Amazon. The impact of her work extends internationally: the first two volumes have been translated into Spanish, and teachers in countries like Puerto Rico, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru are using the material to enrich their congregations.

To accompany the trilogy, Dr. Dye created a 12-part Temple Revealed Course Workbook, designed as a hands-on study guide. This workbook invites readers and students to go even deeper, with guided lessons that reinforce how “sacred architecture mirrors divine purpose and human destiny”. Through the books and the course, many have gained a new appreciation for how the biblical roots of our faith are embedded in ancient patterns and symbols, now brought to life in a way anyone can understand.

In recognizing the need for accessible resources on these topics, Dr. Dye founded Foundations in Torah, a ministry and online resource hub for biblical study grounded in the Hebraic perspective. The goal of this ministry is to help Christians reconnect the New Testament to the Old, providing teachings, articles, and courses that delve into Scripture’s original context. Dinah regularly speaks at conferences across the U.S., leads interactive Passover celebrations for churches and community groups, and mentors students one-on-one in seeing the Bible through ancient eyes.
